obviously a newspaper is a vast organizational system but having a hard time squaring the globe’s decision to publish my friend’s thoughtful column asking for care in the coverage of a gruesome ongoing murder trial and also send constant push notifications about that same trial

as a runner, i constantly wrestle with this YEARS ago, a man ran a stop sign and nearly hit me, and i flipped him off as i ran by he tore around the corner and followed me all the way to my house grateful for my locked front door but also if you had time to follow me, you had time to stop

A really fun calculation you get to make as a cyclist or pedestrian is, "Will this driver attempt to kill me if I flip them off for nearly hitting me?"
