4/5. A super enjoyable backwoods slasher, a great return to form for the genre after the glut of self-referential stuff that followed in the wake of Scream, & a time capsule of the early 2000s. Good gore, good music, solid cast, good effects. Definitely recommended. Check it out!

4.5/5. What a wonderful surprise! I expected a ghost story but I got a heartfelt one about loss, family, racial tension, a few ghosts & a whole lot more. Beautifully shot, great music, really good cast. This feels something like an alternate-universe 80s King movie. 100% recommended, no hesitations.

4/5. Truly one of the most unhinged revenge movies I've seen. The strange tale of a young (?) man & his neverending feud with a gang of dirtbike neo-nazis. More hanging dongs than naked women, but there's plenty of those too so there's something for everyone! Recommended with content warnings.

4/5. One of the defining early slashers & one I've seen about a million times, even IF it's not my favorite. Honestly, I think this one feels like more of a late giallo-slasher hybrid than a straight slasher & that makes it stand out to me because I just don't tire of it. Check it out!

3/5. Another solid, middle of the road slasher. Decent cast, interesting premise, some decent kills, plenty of nudity, good music. If you are a fan of Canadian slashers or are looking for an entry that might be a tad off the beaten path, this one's worth checking out!

4.5/5. I think in a world where The Thing didn't exist, The Blob would be the best horror remake. It joins the rare company of The Thing and The Fly in the "remakes that are MUCH better than the originals" too. A practical effects masterpiece, The Blob is just a damn fine film & is 100% recommended

This is a recent re-watch, but still scores 4.5/5. This release from @terrorvisionvids.bsky.social is hands-down the way you want to see this movie. The audio is better, the visuals are LEAGUES better, there's actually subtitles for once, & there's tons of special features & cool physical stuff too.
