Loaded up on plants for a new semi-native perennial bed. Got some russian sage, catmint, joe pye weed, coreopsis, verbena, spirea, Goldsturm Rudbeckia, Echinacea, butterfly milkweed, bee balm, caradonna salvia, and an elderberry shrub. I might go grab some kind of ornamental grass tomorrow too

I've been trying to use up some of these blueberries so I've been baking all week. These blueberry lemon cheesecake bars turned out great. I think I'll try making blueberry clafoutis / flaugnarde tomorrow.

My honeybees get most of their nectar from the flowers of the tulip poplar trees in the area. The honey they produce is a lot less sweet than something like clover honey and tastes almost woody with a hint of figs.
