Super early and unfinished, but this is the new race mechanic! Essentially the bar fills up as you're running and activates the assigned abilities as it crosses over them. Blue circles also activate abilities. I need a lot of work to make it make sense as you play it, but wanted to post anyway!

Added some juice! Figured out how to do hitstop makes the boosts feel a lot better, and I love the slowmo at the end. Also updated the colors, trying to fix my visual hierarchy. The track feels much cleaner now! #indiedev #gamedev #godot

Testing out a random boost mechanic, the bar bounces back and forth and gets checked on the color it lands on. The runner then gets a corresponding boost. Green 10% Blue 20% Red 50% I could improve the art, but does this make the race feel more fun? #indiedev #gamedev #godot
