I think people need to be more honest with how tech companies intend to replace creators with AI. The only people who grow dependent on it are already useless; the actual endgame is that since you don't have to pay a machine an hourly wage, they just plain won't hire people anymore.

Just a heads up for anyone with a Google Pixel who edits their photos in post, they mark that as AI, and as such, so will Meta platforms and potentially YouTube. If you don't want to be wrongly accused of posting AI, alter your photo's metadata by cropping it. Just a tiny bit will be enough.

I think the real problem with how AI is presented to people is that so many AI bros invoke the reification fallacy of its efficacy. Rather than just being honest about it being a convenient tool (or more accurately, a toy), they act like the AI itself is sentient.
