Super Mario 64 is full of slippery surfaces, horrible camera controls, and jank physics. It will just kill you all the time if you are a pixel out of place, and can be intensely frustrating and unenjoyable at times. But the Switch version has save states.

Reread The Black Cauldron for the first time in close to thirty years and it made me question how the hell Disney even thought they could adapt it into an animated feature in the first place.

Hilarious to think that The Great Mouse Detective, the most British movie in the Disney canon, was released on 4th of July weekend.
I watched some Star Fox remake vids to see if there was much added to the game outside of graphics and cutscenes and uh. No, not really! And now I'm getting recommendations titled SECRET LEVEL ENDING!!! and I feel absolutely insane because it's all shit I knew 30 years ago from a player's handbook.
What's odd about Hima-Ten!'s disappointing ending is that it just reveals what was inherently the main problem with the series, and why it didn't gain popularity to begin with: the ultimate romance was the least interesting relationship in the entire story.
Something that anyone who interacts with me in person needs to understand is that I will stop literally whatever I am doing to kill a bug. If I suddenly stop making eye contact and start to track something with a distant look on my face, do not be alarmed. That random fly will be fucking dead soon.
A Minnesotan was isekai'd into the land of Hyrule. During his journey, the man stopped in the Kakariko Village graveyard, where it had recently stopped raining. Spotting the gravedigger, the traveler struck up a conversation: "Sure is damp, eh?"
Akane-Banashi episode 1 reaction: a good start. Expressions and physicality were animated well in the most important moments. What's going to be crucial is nailing three transformative, otherworldly nature of the big rakugo performances.
When critiquing JKR's lack of understanding of multiple things she wrote about, most people limit the Quidditch stuff to 'One position is clearly the most important so that Harry can be the hero of every match.' They never talk about how infrequently the teams play.
I gave Kubo a lot of crap when I was younger, and to be honest, more arrogant. I STILL get frustrated by some of the issues with Bleach. But I know a lot more now about how being a professional mangaka puts you through a physical and emotional grinder. I respect the hell out of what he did.

Learned of Crispy's Tavern about a week ago and been enjoying their videos. Entertaining breakdowns of TTRPG-space drama I'm glad not to have heard of before. Then at one point they mentioned being younger than the Lord of the Rings movies and I crumbled into dust and died.
Watched a Kdrama, Law School. Some really good bits but a frequently frustrating watch because it constantly felt like plot points would get unceremoniously dropped, or resolved with no sense of fanfare. It came out in 2021 so I have to wonder how much those issues were pandemic-related.

Less than three months ago I bought a new laptop. Nothing big, just something to chill on the couch with. ASUS VivoBook 16. The LCD monitor broke while I was adjusting it while gripping the frame. Both Best Buy and ASUS, the manufacturer, are refusing to cover the repair.
Been watching Apothecary Diaries. Already really liked Maomao from the jump, but her moment of "Ma'am, have you not noticed that you have GIANT TITS!?" has put her firmly among my favorite protagonists ever.
When he wears it the "right" way, he looks like a sad fuzzy phonograph. My poor son.
