In a new privacy policy, Anthropic says Claude will soon require you to upload your driver's license or passport for a variety of reasons. The ID checker is Persona, a firm funded by Trump ally Peter Thiel. As a U.S. company, Persona is also subject to gov't demands for people's verification data. 👀

Gamers (read: salty men) on the internet complaining about the newly announced Witcher IV having a female lead 🍿😫 Same people who probably complained about the best game ever made: Last of Us Part II. Me: looking forward! Ciri was more of a main char in this universe than Geralt ever was! 🤘

Next up in our company book club is Flow Architectures. Been looking forward to this one! We record every book club meeting as a podcast (in norwegian): lesehesten.transistor.fm 🎉 Interested in reading along and maybe joining the podcast next time? Let me know!

I might have to reread On Tyranny because the world was a different place when I first read it 😓. Antisocial is another worth-while read for insight into alt-right/alt-light movements and how they think. Knowledge is power.

Many of us are echoing @timothysnyder.bsky.social's lesson in On Tyranny, "Do not obey in advance.” A no less vital admonition that deserves attn: STAND OUT “...without that unease, there is no freedom. The moment you set an example, the spell of the status quo is broken, and others will follow."

Few weeks ago I found bluesky a bit underwhelming, but now the floodgates have opened and I’m really starting to enjoy the feeds 🤩

AI just never knows when it's time to give up. It will tell you "You can achieve what you want by refactoring your whole application into 15 microservices and writing these 16 bash scripts to put in your CI/CD pipeline" instead of just saying "No, that's not possible/feasible".

Screenshot of AI saying sorry for not just saying "NO" when asked about something that wasn't feasible to do.

When I write about tech and software engineering I feel it’s natural to post in english. Når jeg skriver om norsk politikk er det jo mest naturlig å poste på norsk. Når æ blir irritert så skriv æ dialekt, uansett plattform…

I don't play horror games because I get stressed. Just reached the credits of the #Cyberpunk2077 Phantom Liberty DLC and the game literally turned into a Aliens-type horror game at the end! 💀🥵 Touché CDPR, you got me...
