"I'm glad we are on the same page, but yes the data is worth quite a bit. I say it is a collaboration between us." No point in hiding what was already obvious. Just as much as there was price for destruction there was also one for salvation.

"Let me guess. You also want their data as well. Correct?" HUNK knew Nikolai wasn't one for charity. He was ready to assume that someone offered him enough money for something if he can subcontract him.

"As much as I enjoy catching up there is a job I have. You see I had a revelation after my near death. Maybe the world shouldn't burn for anything less than the highest bidder. Can't spend my hard earned money if nothing is left." He laughs a little before continuing.

HUNK just grumbled a bit. "Why did you call? Just burdening me with the knowledge you're still alive or do you have a job for me?"

"Don't worry about it. Things like this happen when we least expect it." He reassures her as he lets out a chuckle. "Sometimes we just have to make due."

"Nice to meet you too.. I'll let you know if I see your friend." She smiles halfheartedly given the pain in her head. "Usually better company, sorry."

//: Me having no clue how well I'm doing with Nikolai rn, but fuck it we ball!

"My name is Nikolai, Nikolai Zinoviev and my friend's name is Jill Valentine." He introduces himself shaking her hand. "A pleasure to meet you."

"An old friend? Okay.. I can try to help." She eyes him and holds out a hand, first for him to shake if he wishes. "I'm Ashley Graham, by the way, who are you and who's your friend?"

"Just to let me know if you see someone. See I'm looking for an old friend." He replies with a thoughtful look. "We parted on bad terms, but I've been wanting to bury the hatchet as they say."

"An I.O.U? For headache meds?" He was peculiar. "Uh.. sure, but what would you want?"

I do have some, but I usually don't give away things for free... Hmmm... how about I give you them and you can do an I.O.U?

♡˚⋆ 𝓐shley@citrinewings.bsky.social · 8mo ago

She has to laugh, nodding. "Even so, got any pain meds I could use? Might not be as bad as a bullet but still hurts pretty bad."

"Exactly, it's just a minor set back unlike a bullet."

♡˚⋆ 𝓐shley@citrinewings.bsky.social · 8mo ago

"Yeah.. that's definitely one way to look at."

"On the brightside that headache is not a bullet, yeah?"

♡˚⋆ 𝓐shley@citrinewings.bsky.social · 8mo ago

She's currently dealing with quite the headache..

"Hmmm the world is burning, but I'm not getting paid."

"Life always finds a way, eh? I mwan look at me. Was left for dead and should have died inna fiery explosion. Yet here I am."

"Another day, another contract. Let's see what is up for grabs today."

@deathcantdie.bsky.social "It seems we were interrupted. Must be the reception here. Ah, well it matters not. Where were we? Oh right you going on about your lecture." Hunk's comments were not the first nor the last he'd ever hear. That being said Nikolai would always prioritize his life first.
