I wanted to add more detail to this but the word count is such a prison. Anyway the Evans sisters are truly so tragic to me like I'm thinking of 12 year old Petunia begging Dumbledore to be let into Hogwarts because she didn't want to be left behind and Lily thinking her sister hated her so much

sirius and harry being parallels to each other. both coming from abusive households. both finding home and family at hogwarts. both overshadowed by their name. i'll never not grieve what was stolen from them.
in my head part of the reason Sirius is so insistent on keeping Harry involved and informed i'm ootp is because he knows first-hand how isolating it feels to be left out, and he remembers how all the secrets and lack of information tore people apart the first time and he wanted it to be different.
