Last week, I got to present my single authored paper on how labor market developments affect gentrification in Reading. Seeing the paper grow and develop fills me with pride, (a little fear given the extent of my to do list), and a lot of motivation for putting in the work until the 2027 market!

Huge thanks to the organizers and all presenters. I was expecting to meeting and learning something about my field from leading scholars but was wildly mistaken - I not only did that, I also got introduced to new fields and ways of thinking that I never engaged with before. What a win!

A huge thank you to all the students and faculty who participated in the UEA Summer School this year! It was an incredible week of research discussions. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and made the experience so special.

Meeting all of the inspiring scholars, seeing friends and connecting with coauthors was a true pleasure. Also, I received great feedback on our paper on the initializers of gentrification. Next is the UEA 2026 summer school back „home“ in London - let’s go! ✈️🌞🙏

Thanks to everyone who came to the UEA European Meetings in Barcelona and to all those from CREI, BSE, and the program committees who worked behind the scenes to make it happen.

Hey London (spatial) bubble! I will be at LSE this summer term so if you happen to be in the city and want to discuss some research or know some good workshops and seminars - feel free to reach out 🌞🤝 very excited! 🙏🏼

Great time at the Spatial and Urban PhD workshop at CREST as well as the CEPR Symposium in Paris 🇫🇷📍 At the workshop, I presented my single authored paper on how changes in the labor market affect spatial inequality through within city skill sorting. Thanks to all presenters and discussions! 🙏🏼

Such an honor to work in a profession with so many incredible women 🥺🩷 I had the pleasure to present our latest work on spousal sorting and spatial misallocation. Thank you to the organizers and DIW Berlin for the great workshop - and the participants and discussants for the valuable input!

Solange Frauen in dieser Gesellschaft mehr unbezahlte Arbeit leisten müssen als Männer, müssen wir keine Sekunde über eine Wehrpflicht für Frauen nachdenken. Bitteschön, Debatte beendet.

Two days full of great input and conversations - proud and excited to be a part 😌✊ I presented our most current work on „Spousal Sorting, Spatial Misallocation, and the Gender Wage Gap“ (joint work with @milanq.bsky.social and Joan Monras) 📍📊 Thanks to all organizers, presenters and discussants 🙏🏼

Such a great workshop last week at IAB on topics on (un-)employment! I can highly encourage all PhD-students to not only take part in workshops and conferences but also be in organizing committees yourself! Very valuable insights and a lot of fun 🎓🎤🪃
