LA should cut ties with Flock Safety. Cities across the country are canceling their Flock contracts over the risks its license plate readers pose to privacy, civil liberties, and immigrant communities. LAPD is doing the opposite: renegotiating a surveillance network that Angelenos never agreed to.

Street homelessness in LA rose 8%. This problem isn't unsolvable. It's mismanaged. Another approach is possible, and the results in my council district prove it. Street homelessness is down 49% in CD4, and I will bring the same approach citywide as your next mayor.

Infrastructure failures like this week’s water main break in West Hollywood are the result of decades of neglect. LA cannot be governed from crisis to crisis. We must plan for the inevitable. As mayor, I will invest in infrastructure and make sure LA is a strong partner to the entire region.

On June 17th, the Lineage cold storage facility in Boyle Heights caught on fire, burning for days. As black smoke spewed into the neighborhood and into the region, Mayor Karen Bass repeatedly told residents the air was safe, contradicting the advice of air quality and public health experts.

A fire at a cold storage facility in Boyle Heights has been burning since Wednesday afternoon, with repeated flare ups that are sending smoke across the entire region.  Here's what I am monitoring to make sure I have the most updated information.
