This… one of the most insidious things about genAI is how it’s made us question everything we see. It’s sapped so much joy out of life and creativity. And real artists get accused of using AI if they use too many filters or their style is too generic. Real artists are getting hurt in so many ways.

one thing I miss from the pre-genAI days is that there was no questioning that human nonsense was simply human nonsense. a dog piloting a plane? some silly human toiled over that in photoshop. now, when something is nonsensical, we question if it’s ai and don’t get to enjoy it the same way.
