So I decided to disable Compatibility Support Module on my main PC so I can assure I am using EFI boot, but I wasn't expecting THIS. For some reason, doing this made my GPU output some absurd stuff while it shouldn't be receiving an image signal.

It's surprising to see a Windows 11 era version of an app still being able to run on Windows as far back as Windows 2000 RTM. Though, I suppose if it isn't broken, it's not worth fixing. And if that really is the case, then kudos to Igor Pavlov for creating a codebase that stood the test of time.

Accidentally stumbled into some bizarre Easter egg in the Microsoft Store if it is running on an older version.

Last night was undoubtedly a long one for me as I had spent all of it from 2 AM all the way to when I went to bed at 4:30-ish AM just diagnosing why on earth opening OBS Studio would consistently cause my graphics driver to just spontaneously crash.

Just migrated from Bluesky's main server over to Eurosky, so... Hello everybody... Again.

Anyways, I caught a moth. They're such oddly elegant creatures.

What just happened? I go on to my phone to open Bluesky and the first thing I see is a screen demanding I verify my age. Then I checked Bluesky on my PC and it was totally fine. Confused, I checked Bluesky on my phone again, and WHADDYAKNOW the screen didn't show up a second time. 🤨

Five hours..... Power's back!

Four hours.... Since the previous hour, I had gained a bit of insight as to what's going on.

Power went out about an hour ago, it was bright and sunny. Power is still out, it's now dark and cloudy. Thunderstorms approaching. That concludes today's issue of "Weird not-poems by Astral"

Just barely caught this out of the corner of my eye. I was just browsing TCRF when all of a sudden... 2:60!

No idea if it's just me, but Internet Archive has been acting really flimsy as of lately. Every now and then I would try to view an item, but what I get is a screen that says "unable to load metadata from item location" and I don't know why that's happening.

Yesterday I spent a bit of time getting my Asteroids clone that used to be Windows exclusive to build and run on Linux. It didn't take very long to do so as it was already abstracted from the OS and hardware using raylib . I just needed to update the build configuration to support Linux builds.

TIL there is such a thing as 'Broken Heart Syndrome' (Takotsubo cardiomyopathy), and I have to credit Doctor Mike for that one.

Well that's just great. Time for a reinstall that I didn't see coming in advance. 🫠

This clearly demonstrates why you should NEVER take anything you see online for granted, as ANY of it can suddenly become lost media in the blink of an eye if you aren't careful.

Can I just go on record by saying how much I dislike the fact that Windows 10's Calculator app will just close on its own after minimizing in certain situations?

Just ran a memory test to make sure my RAM wasn't inexplicably broken. Spoiler alert, it wasn't.
