Trip to Scilly was productive today with a Pied Fly on St Mary's and Wilson's and European Storm Petrels on the Scillonian alongside Great, Sooty and a Cory's Shearwaters. Plenty of cetaceans, 2 Risso's Dolphins, 2 pods of Porpoise and a Minke Whale. Steve Backshall was a bonus! #nature #wildlife

It was great to do three Windbirds pelagics. Some really good birds, Zino's, Desertas and Bulwers Petrels, Madeiran and Wilson's Storm Petrels, a Barolo Shearwater, Long-tailed Skua and a rarity, Audoiun's Gull. Rich in other wildlife too with flying fish and a Bryde's Whale!

Back from a great trip to Madeira. Managed to see all the endemics, Trocaz Pigeon, Madeira Firecrest, Madeira Chaffinch and Zino's Petrel. Saw all the endemic butterflies as well (Speckled Wood, Brimstone and Grayling). A beautiful place

Spent a few hours in the dunes of Lindisfarne looking for Orchids. The Lindisfarne Helleborine was the main target and we saw five. Also Marsh Helleborines, Northern Marsh Orchids, Common Twayblade, Common Spotted Orchid and Early Marsh Orchids. #Orchids

Back from an unexpected but brilliant trip up to Fife and Northumberland. The Long-tailed Shrike the main highlight, but also Surf Scoters, Quails, American Black Tern and Roseate Terns from a trip round Coquet Island. Can't wait to return.

Lucky to get to Iceland for a few days after finishing my exams. The birding was incredible and managed four lifers: Harlequin Duck, Barrow's Goldeneye, Gyrfalcon and Brunnich's Guillemot.
