The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

Tilly woke me twice in the middle of the night for pets and scritches. 🙄 I see a nap in my future.

While eating breakfast Tilly bit my thumb. No blood drawn. This is the second time this week she’s done this while I was eating. She looked shocked afterwards. Maybe she was just thinking about it and was shocked that she’d actually done it.
Tilly wanted to try my chopped bbq, pork skins, and hush puppies, so much so she spilled my soda all over the table and phone. Trying to eat with her around has become quite the ordeal. She is Not sorry, but at least the phone is ok.

I have been rereading Edward Abbey's Desert Solitaire, and remembering the summer my brother and I spent with my dad, a Park Ranger, at Arches.
Had to walk down to the Post Office. I may not recover. It was only 89F but humidity is 57%.
Tilly's bloodwork was normal. Thanks to modern medicine. I would hate to have to give her insulin injections. Vet got her kitty carving. 20+ years caring for my critters is worth a little recognition.
Back at work. Two weeks wasn't enough. Also, ALL the emails.
Tilly is ignoring me. Probably because I don’t have any food.
