🏆3-0 at our final #SOS #MagicMates draft with a fun WRu Restoration Seminar deck. Very lucky to beat @draftpunks.bsky.social in the finals who had an insane UR mill deck with Mathemagics, Tidecaller and 2x Expressive Iteration. My SB splash swap to black for Render Speechless won me that match.

🏆A crucial 3-0 at tonight's #SOS #MagicMates draft with WRb clunkers. Forgot to photograph my sideboard but I brought in Nita R1, Vicious Rivalry + Forest R2 and 2nd swamp R3 vs Tidecaller. Played very well and got lucky.

Another 2-1 at tonight's #SOS #MagicMates draft with a somewhat scrappy UG deck. Opened Geometry and Tidecaller but was seated next to a UR Tidecaller drafter so didn't have much wiggle room. Played an 18th land over a bad 23rd card. Couldn't fit my P3P1 Winds of Abandon in either.

2-1 at tonight's #MagicMates #SOS draft with UGr. Lost a close finals 1-2 to Informed Inkwright, Practiced Offense and Subterranean Tremors. I had the chance to take Tremors or Critique P3P1 and not sure which was correct.

2-0-1 at tonight's #MagicMates draft with RWu Mathemagics. Deck performed way better than expected and I played it really well. Particularly proud of winning against double Ark of Hunger by sculpting a game plan around finding and casting Mathemagics.

🏆3-0 at a Win a Mox Opal Vintage Cube draft (split the Opal with my finals OP). P1P1 Ajani (passing Flash), into Mana Crypt, Dungeoneer, Skullclamp (over Ancient Tomb) and off to the races. WR was contested but my strong cards were just really good. Person to my right opened 3 Moxen 🤯

4 drafts and 3 🏆 on day 1 of #MSH. Format has been fun so far although UW is way too open right now.

1-2 at tonight's #MagicMates #SOS draft with an attempt at UG Small. Had some unfortunate draws and also a basic maths missplay that could have meant a 2-1 finish. Sided out the Archaic on the play a few times for mana consistency.

1-1-1 at tonight's #MagicMates #SOS draft with Jeskai control. Was ahead in g3 but couldn't close in turns. Ended up replacing the Antiquities with a Landscape Painter because it wasn't great on the splash. Had the option of going full Whale/Tackle Artist but didn't think it was very good.

🏆 3-0 at tonight's #MagicMates #SOS draft with single rare Silverquill. P1P1 Scolding Administrator, got passed Traumatic Critique but correctly read that there was a UR drafter to my right and stuck to WB. Could have been BG but chose not to. Had a quadruple Interceptor match in the finals 😆

1-2 at tonight's #MagicMates #SOS draft with my attempt at GB beatdown. Didn't have enough removal to back it up and the Royal Treatments didn't help break through board stalls.

🏆 3-0 with 5c Stallion soup but the real trophy goes to my epic finals match against my Silverquill opponent who had Moment of Reckoning, Antiquities on the Loose and Restoration Seminar. G3 ended after I attacked all, then didn't counter Antiquities predicting they had Interjection for the win.

2-1 at tonight's #MagicMates #SOS draft which felt like a win. Had a heavy UR start to the draft but WR was more open. Moved into Jeskai control but lacked ways to win so ran a Bulk Up/Whale package with meagre protection. Brush Off MVP.

🏆 3-0 in my Peasant #Cube with a Rbg sacrifice deck. P1P1 Goblin Bombardment but actually didn't solidify into black until a later Forsaken Miner in pack 3 Thanks to that my manabase was pretty dodgy but I had some good draws. Grafted Wargear still a powerhouse. Cube: cubecobra.com/cube/records...

🏆 3-0 at tonight's #SOS #MagicMates draft with a scrappy WR deck. Identified the open lane about halfway through pack 2 and ditched most of my first pack of WB cards to pivot become what turned out to be the only Lorehold drafter. Played a lot of filler but I mostly discarded it to find the bombs 🤣

Another 2-1 at the #MagicMates #SOS draft with mediocre Silverquill. Had some close games but Practiced Offence managed to steal a few. Manabase felt terrible, there were no WB dual lands in our draft. In pack 3 I was so short on 2s I was passing Last Gasp for the Referees 🤣

Lost the finals of a Final Fantasy set cube draft by getting my opponent to 1 life with no cards in my library after they topdecked a reanimation spell for their Primal Odin. Good times. Nobody else was in green in the pod 🤯

Another 2-1 at the #MagicMates #SOS draft playing URg Vintage (Ancestral Recall + Sylvan Library). Made some mistakes R1 which lost me what should have been an easy match. Got to make a 6/6 Sylvan Library and make 5/5 Fractal Anomalies which was fun.

An #SOS P1P3 and there's still the best common, best uncommon and close to the best rare still in the pack!

My past 4 #SOS decks have had a combined total of 9 creatures between them and a 24-2 record 🫡

🏆 7-1 with Exhibition Tidecaller control. So many ways to draw cards I could find it every game and cast two 5MV spells. Only 3 creatures (all rares). Double Chase Inspiration + Force of Will to protect worked every time. No draft log because I was on mobile.
