And here are my GeekBench6/7 benchmarks for the Microsoft Surface Duo running my Android 16 ROM after making a few tweaks to RAM, GPU/CPU. It scored well, nothing crazy but the device is snappy. Im gonna eventually look into squeezing more performance out of it.

Would love if one day someone found a HarmonyOS exploit that allowed BL unlocks

Feel free to ask questions about the Duo/Duo 2 progress. I don't mind the questions at all. 😃

I'll keep working on the Surface Duo over time for both A16 and A17, but I will eventually hard shift to the Duo 2 since I'd like to daily drive that.

Soon I'll open the flood gates to my android 16 repo. Again things are buggy as far as gestures but it'll give anyone who wants to help a chance to report bugs and even join the project. A17 work will start sometime after that. And once I get A17 booted, I'll release that as well.

I have returned from my break my Surface Duo brethren! Updates are coming. Thank you to those who offered me condolences. ❤️

👀 what have I done

I honestly feel bad for the younger generation and how they are priced out of the hobbies. Expensive PC parts, expensive toys, expensive games and now expensive video game consoles. It's insanity, this isn't normal.

Progress is still going strong. Taking a bit of time because I've had a loss in my family. I will be cooking up again soon.

For the duo 1. The repos will be available the same day I release the ROM. Everyone will be able to have fun 😁 yes it will have bugs but, at that point I welcome everyone to go bug hunting and fixing.

Surface Pen is working without pairing. 😃 Finally got my AAAA battery

I did some reading. Never knew they disabled pairing your Surface pens to the duo/duo2 🙂 This is my OS though, we don't play that around here

Surface Duo updates for today 🫡 were getting closer to that stock functionality. #Microsoft #Android 16 #SurfaceDuo #LineageOS

Ouuuuuu 👀 #SurfaceDuo #Microsoft #Android16 #LineageOS

Whaaaaa 4 apps at the same time on the Microsoft Surface Duo running Android 16?! 😂 Not sure who would ever do this but this is so cool to have working. #Microsoft #Android #SurfaceDuo

Fixing multitasking stuff. This is PIP #Microsoft #SurfaceDuo #Android 16

Whhaaaa

Porting over the duo framework has been an interesting process. There's so many things that depend on other under the hood services/dependencies. That being said it's like 70% completed, the last 30% has been extremely difficult lol

For the Duo 1 users, once I get past the systemui madness -- I can release a lineageos build for people to test. For duo 2 users-- just a bit longer ❤️ A16 is still progressing and honestly it's the same systemui hold up as the duo 1. #Android #Microsoft #SurfaceDuo #SurfaceDuo2 #LineageOS 23.2

Been meeting some interesting people due to this project and gaining some surprising followers. ❤️ Thank you all for the support

Rotation with split apps is working pretty good with the original Surface Duo on Android 16. ❤️

Development for the Duo continues today

Closer to dallying #OpenHarmony on one of my Surface Duo 2 phones. Not that difficult to get cellular up and running at least for this device.
