Right now there's a battle happening over workers' rights, and I couldn't be prouder to be fighting alongside the Machinists. Thank you to the NJ Council of Machinists for giving me to opportunity to speak at this year's conference. Lets keep up the fight for America's workers. Solidarity forever.

While American families struggle to keep up with the rising cost of food, the Trump administration thinks the answer is to kick millions off of food assistance. Why? So that Trumps billionaire buddies can get tax breaks at the expense of hard-working families, children, and the elderly. Despicable

61 years ago, LBJ signed Medicare & Medicaid into law. Not because it would make him or his buddies richer, but because it was the right thing to do. Today, I'm fighting to protect these lifesaving programs from Trump and his GOP cronies in Congress, who are doing all they can to destroy them.

Trump and congressional Republicans may be raising the cost of almost everything, but that doesn't mean we can't fight back. Here's a reminder of how things got so bad, and what I'm doing to fix it (including a big win for more affordable housing!)...

Your government should work for YOU. That's why I hosted my 9th annual Constituent Services Fair last week, and I was happy to see so many of you getting the assistance that you deserve. If there's anything I can do to help you out, always know that you can give my office a call: 856-427-7000

For those recovering from opioid use disorder, methadone is one of the most effective and safe treatments. But right now, bad federal rules are keeping too many from accessing that necessary care. So I'm introducing bipartisan legislation to fix it:

My Constituent Services Fairs are about connecting people with the things they need. And it didn't take very long for Andrea and I to realize we needed the puppy I met at the Animal Welfare Association's booth in our lives. Appreciate all they do to keep South Jersey's pets safe and healthy!

A big thank you to everyone who hopped onto today's telephone town hall.   With everyday life unaffordable and government focused on only those at the very top, its important that you know how I'm fighting back to protect Social Security, bring down costs, and hold this administration accountable.

It was my honor to welcome Father John Thomas, a South Jersey native and Vicar General for the Diocese of Camden, down to D.C. to lead today's opening prayer for the House of Representatives.   Thank you, Father Thomas, for your call for your unity, and for your service to our community.

Our nation is stronger when the hard working men and women that build our country can achieve the American dream, and the labor movement fights each day to make that a reality. It was great to share that message at yesterday's NJ Building Trades Conference.

Congratulations to the Ben Franklin Bridge on 100 years of connecting South Jersey and Philadelphia! Our region has changed a lot during those 100 years, but the Ben has always been there. Here’s to another century! whyy.org/articles/ben...

Tens of thousands walk the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to celebrate its 100th birthday

While walkers of all ages took in the views, speakers and elected officials touted the bridge’s vital role in the region’s economy.

The 21st Century Road to Housing Act becomes law in six hours. Bipartisanship is rare these days, and with more than 350 members of Congress coming together to bring down the cost of housing, Trump couldn't even be bothered to pick up his pen.

Happy Independence Day! I hope you and your family are staying cool while enjoying the holiday weekend. While you do, I hope you also get a chance to appreciate the privilege — and responsibilities — we all share as citizens of this special country.

It was the honor of a lifetime to join a special session of Congress in Independence Hall: The very room our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence. America's 250 year experiment has been bold, unique, tragic, and just. And through it all, we're still standing.

Before my Faster Labor Contracts Act passed the House, I had critics tell me that "the system works fine." Maybe it does for billionaires like Jeff Bezos. But does anyone really think our workers deserve to wait years for a fair contract?

Big Tech doesn't drive our economy: Workers do, especially those employed in the trades. Thank you to Lowes Foundation for having me speak at last week's Building Back America's Trades forum. By investing in skilled trades and more accessible apprenticeships, we can create a more affordable America

Today we had the honor of opening up the newly restored Benjamin Cooper Tavern, which has stood in Camden since 1734. I was happy to get federal funds for this project so that it can educate future generations on how South Jersey aided in the fight for independence:

11 years ago today, the Supreme Court confirmed what we already know: that love is love, and nothing can stop it. Even though some folks might want to take us back to a time when marriage was restricted, I'll fight tooth and nail to keep marriage equality the law of the land.
