Hello Muddah, hello Fadduh.

SIlent Hill: Townfall one of those games where I can absolutely recognise and agree with most flaws you can level at it but I just don't care. I love what it's doing. I got excited about a shop in the game because it had the words "good quality bric-a-brac" digitally rendered on a white board.

Sorry to say but St. Amelia Harbour Trust from Silent Hill: Townfall is not a registered charity with either the Scottish Charity Register or the Charity Commission of England and Wales and any Gift Aid claimed on relevant donations is invalid and you may have inadvertently committed tax avoidance.

A nice noticeboard from Silent Hill Townfall about harbour safety, posted in the game's faction, by St Amelia Harbour Trust, claiming to be a registered charity. Let's put that to the test.A screenshot of the Scottish Charity Register saying "no results returned" for the charity number from the notice. You can't see the number I searched for but I swear it's that one. A screenshot of the Charity Commission website, also saying no results were found for that charity number. You can see the number in this one. I'm good for it.

For all the shit the Ellisons get, are Annapurna the only known-name publisher that understands games as patronising the arts and investing in culture, rather than technology products to generate return on investment?

Sorry for your loss and I reserve the right to be a hypocrite should circumstances befall me but I'm officially declaring the story of two specific prisoners being released early going into a second week to be A Bit Much.

Played through Type Help which robs The Incident At Galley House of drama but, as someone a bit skeptical of a text adventure being made into an actual game, the execution is spot on. A proper little radio play whodunit. Lovely production values and attention to detail.

Part of me is annoyed that someone has dumped a load of DVDs in the book swap on my street, but another part of me is delighted I just got the complete series of Eerie, Indiana. Some cheek calling it a 3-disc special edition though when there's only enough episodes for 3 discs.

Was minded today of all the "Dept. Heaven" games on PSP that I own and finished and cannot remember a single thing about. A bit like The Last Remnant on the 360. Endless JRPGs which I spent hours playing but have left no mark in my life. Have I wasted my time on this Earth?

A bit annoying how everyone's got their own Discord forum now so if you just want to download some ray tracing mod for a decade old game, you have to join one with a general chat populated with people like this:

A screenshot of a Discord message posted by someone called "rapi" which reads: I used to be "THE RAPIST" until discord temp banned me xd. Why are people like this?

Was likely in the pit of a mighty depression during some of it but - amongst my 1000 hours in Destiny 2 - I'll remember working out how to play music through proximity chat and then blasting Let Me Show You by Camisra on repeat in the Tower while doing a DJ emote. It was all good fun.

Quite upsetting that young people have parasocial relationships with elite footballers or platinum-selling musicians or queer-baiting film stars and my parasocial relationships are all with balding men in their 30s and 40s who host podcasts.

Last night I watched the 2002 Sly Stallone thriller D-Tox (a very generous 3*) and finished Aliens Infestation (2.5*) on the DS and the HD version of Arkham Origins Blackgate (2.5*). An aggressively mediocre Friday night.
