was only able to connect to airplane wifi on my laptop by connecting on my phone, getting my phones mac address, then turning phone wifi off, then settting my laptop mac address to my phones mac address using nmcli, then the internet works

paralellizing e2e tests to run faster is a fun subtask partly because there aren't many limits to what you can do with a testing environment (its made up) so it gives it a bit of a feeling of anything is possible even if strange

for long-running autonomous builds, in combination with token limits, slow rust compilation times are kind of complementary (the rust compilation times aren't limiting throughput)
say what you will about nix, but locking yourself out of ssh from your server, and then using the hetzner console to restore to a previous nix version on boot is so easy and so good it makes it all worth it
i enjoy not having a car and making travel plans based on when someone happens to be driving in a certain direction. there is something fun about the serendipity and interdependence of it
