(Unfinished sketch) A hollowed out cavern made of the ribcage of a giant slain creature- an enormous sword still sticks out from betwixt the ribs. Near the viewer sits a pile of gold and gems, guarded jealously by a tiny dragon. Several skeletons sit rotting around the cavern as a new adventurer bravely seeks their fortune at the entrance- unknowing of what awaits them.

How it started vs how it’s going… #art #WIP #digitalpainting #puzzle #dragon #worldbuilding

Very rough line sketch of a composition. A tiny dragon perched on a lamp looks at a distant person trying to enter a cavernous space (shown by perspective lines)

In progress version of the same sketch. The tiny dragon now hangs from the place it once perched from and stares towards the cave entrance. The cavern is now detailed out to be the interior of an ancient slain creature with an enormous sword impaling it. It’s still in the early stages of rendering but details such as the lantern below the dragon and the skeletal hand amongst the gold pile have started to take shape.
