Do more of who makes you happy

Todays Clacton beach picture. The sound of kids having fun in the water is infectious. I remember coming here as a kid and it's probably why I moved here as a young adult. How are you all away from the coast coping in this heat?

Clacton town on a Saturday, choices. But pleasantly surprised! New bag sticker, dozens of folks handing out "don't vote Farage" flyers I can't have hope, nope

Last transfusion done under NHS care. On Monday I pick up my prescription and deregister from my GP surgery. That's not terrifying at all, nope. Clacton Hospital is amazing, as locals we are very lucky to have so much access, and I'm sad I won't get to see it fully finished

Am I bias because hubby is an electrical engineer working on Germany's green energy systems? Maybe. But how gorgeous is Clactons windfarm, generating electricity that goes straight to the national grid. Behind it London array windfarm that takes electricity to Faversham. Almost a beach picture

Todays Clacton beach photo. Martello up by Toby carvery and a pretty good car park. Loos are close and clean. If the pier isn't your vibe this is the beach I always recommend. I am going to miss it so much :(

On my way to my last eyebrow appointment in the UK, which is much scarier prospect than I thought. But Clacton beach once again looking wonderful and Farage free Have a great day

Beach will be a later one tonight, I think. House full of little peoples, who really don't understand I am going. Their main concern is that they don't lose pool access once I am gone. Being the cool aunt with the cool house doesn't transfer to the cool aunt who lives a plane ride away it seems

Place a penny in the river, put tuppence into the deep sea Threepence at crossroads or the ghosts will come for me Place a penny on a balsa boat, put tuppence into the glass Threepence at the crossroads or dooms will come to pass

I love Clacton beach. I know how important day trippers are to Clacton and the economy here. But it's the first weekend of the summer holidays, my last few weeks in the UK and this feels peaceful. I hope you are having a great weekend *Apart from my neighbour and his new reform sign

The folklore of the bricked Devil's Door in churches may be a late 19th reconstruction, but it is persistent. For few things demand the projection of stories more intensely than a blocked portal. What is shut out? What is kept in? The barred way is an invite to mystery. – Dr. M. Benn

Closest I think I'll get today. Can recommend the fish stall, there a few times a week. Has Clacton beach been greysince this Farage circus started? Can the sun come back please.

Few more weekends enjoying the garden, nephew and niece coming for a few days next week. Aunt with a pool, beach two minutes away and a cool pier has meant I get lots of visits with them. Thankfully they only know Clacton as a very cool place. Did I mention I really do like being around water 🤣

A day off today. Excitedly planning on continuing my cyberdeck project, having a slow lazy swim, eating ramen and soup dumplings, star gazing with a cup of cacao, practicing making pork pies, and not seeing another soul. Probably no beach photo today.

Back to lush again here in Clacton, still not much circus and still not many day trippers as the schools break up, but I can hear the rollercoaster going on the pier. It really is a beautiful coastline and I'll always love the windfarm

Well grey wasn't the plan. The wind has dropped a little at least Clacton beach looking dull and bored. The circus 🎪 has a list, and it's as bad as I feared. Vote for one of the many joke candidates (Inc Farage) who won't do anything for Clacton or don't vote at all?
