Our last Sunday peer support meeting is on Sunday 26th July at 3pm. We'll be talking about our suicidal experiences together. We hold a non clinical, confidential spacs for peer support, no judgment, no fixing. Every meeting is open to first timers, this coming Sunday is no exception.

Not the Void UK don't keep registers of who attends our meetings, but we do keep an overall count of attendances for each meeting. Between Jan and March, we held space for 96 suicidal people to be in meetings with us and we're on track for another hundred between April and Junes end. /1

On this day in 2024, a group of strangers gathered to build a harm reduction peer support community, inspired by the Alternatives to Suicide model created by Western Mass RLC. 600 meeting registrations alter and 200+ hours having conversations about our suicidal experiences, Not the Void UK is 2!

Not the Void UK meetings are a place where you can share how you feel and what you're going through in relation to your experiences of suicide. At our members request, we've been experimenting with more general discussion topics on days where the energy is low and people want a prompt. /1

We meet in half an hour so the candle is lit to mark all our precious loved ones who we've lost to suicide. The candle burns to honour all the vulnerability and mutual care that we bring as we meet to talk about our experiences with suicide, and our solidarity with everyone who feels suicidal too.
