🌧It's raining!!!!🌧 I honestly can't remember the last time it rained. This won't be enough for the plants or grass but it smells soooo good.
A bit like what happens to teachers when they work in a school that does include the O word in every decision.
Just shows what can happen when you play without fear of losing.
A word I keep seeing in books I'm reading as if it's an everyday word yet I never hear anyone say in real life - detritus. 🤷♀️
I'm finding social media really hard to engage with at the moment. It's like that overwhelm you get when you think of a friend I haven't seen in a long time. You really want to see them but are worried about what catching up will be like. So you put it off. That's me and social media right now.

Celebrating tonight, my daughter got her uni results, a 2:1. She almost failed her second year due to mental health issues and has worked so hard to get her average up. We are so proud of her. But the story goes deeper than that. 1/3

Ending a very busy weekend with some peace and quiet reading a book in the garden. The jasmine is just starting to flower and it smells beautiful.
I am still alive. Just holding some boundaries. Although social media is my main marketing funnel and not being on here regularly means a drop in income, sometimes this has to be the ball I drop.
I will be doing black and white sketches today for £15!

Do you know who we don't hear enough from and about? Small schools. I've had enough of only reading/seeing big academy chains dominating social media and therefore everyone's attention. If you know someone who works in a small school/academy/federation, please tag them below so I can follow them
I can relieve so many of your stress factors. Honestly! DM me and put me to the test.

Communication is one of the most frequently cited causes of burnout. Not because staff don’t want to engage but because systems overwhelm them. There is too much noise. Streamlining communication is a wellbeing intervention with measurable impact. Would you like my free resource on this?
It's really not a expensive as you think. www.nourishtheworkplace.com or just DM me for a chat.
Is this the term that you employ a staff wellbeing expert to take the stress and load away from you and give your staff the culture you want for them? DM me, or go to www.nourishtheworkplace.com
Do you know I have a free WhatsApp community? Are you in it yet? I give advice, share important information, you can ask me questions, it's really good 😉 This is the main hub link - https://chat.whatsapp.com/BYmlSPPNaX43TU1hhEygsB from there you can decided which groups to join. See you over there!
15 packets of gelatine bought today can only mean one thing - competition season! For those of you who don't know, synchronised swimmers coat their hair in gelatine to hold it in place in the water.
You have the power! Use it wisely and for good.
Always a teacher. We read this, it's at Glasgow's Necropolis, and I commented, "They needed some lessons in punctuation. That sentence is far too long!"
Great analogy! Also, treat your staff like a car - do regular checks as well as an annual MOT, ensure it's 'fed' properly and don't run it into the ground.
What if we think about teaching like driving? You wouldn’t keep your car in top gear just in case you needed to drive on a motorway but that’s often what we do as teachers. No downtime. Little relaxation. If you’ve got the half term holiday it’s not over yet. Park or keep it in a low gear. 😊
