My gecko is recovering steadily after surgery. I can finally feel a little relieved for now.🦎
Every time I tell myself I’m done taking commissions, life immediately slaps me in the face and sends me right back to drawing commissions again.🫵
I took my crested gecko to the vet today, and she was diagnosed with follicular stasis. Since there’s no insurance, the treatment will be quite expensive. But thanks to the support of my friends and commissioners, I was able to receive enough commissions to cover the surgery costs.🙏
People sometimes ask me how I get the look in my illustrations, but I don’t really know how to explain it. I mostly just draw by instinct, my brain just goes “this looks better(?)” and I follow that.
I like sharing these messy doodles on Bluesky. Hardly anyone sees them, and not worrying about the numbers makes me feel calm and safe.
Just finished my second watch of Zootopia 2. As someone who keeps reptiles, a few scenes (messy shedding, regurgitation, low temps…) really stressed me out lol. Hope more people understand how cute ectothermic animals truly are. 🥺
