This glacier inventory from NOAA@NSIDC of West Greenland includes 5,297 glaciers from 1948 to 1985, taken from 1:250,000 maps, Landsat imagery, and aerial photographs. Data records include latitude and longitude, min and max elevation, and surface area. https://bit.ly/3TCTzHu

The Larsen B Ice Shelf on the Antarctic Peninsula lost the size of Rhode Island in sea ice in the 2002. After, glaciers feeding the shelf flowed faster. When stable, ice shelves act as brakes. When lifted, glaciers accelerate & land ice melts into the sea. https://bit.ly/4vrVITL
