Folks. Let me walk you through my thinking on robots in space. No, not sci-fi - just for the record, FMK: BB-8, R2-D2, C-3P0 - wait maybe you didn't mean that. Okay. So anyway. There are some really basic design principles that I subscribe to that I realize are pretty unorthodox. But they exist.
So very many anti-AI people are showing that they lack even the most rudimentary of information literacy skills. But worse? They rebel at the idea that possibly maybe they have some things to learn.
Mike Rogers wants us divided. But there is so much more that unites us than sets us apart. The power is ours. This land was made for you and me.
Fundraising, of course, now *conclusively* proven to actually not be relevant to winning elections. Elections are won on popularity. Back when Boomers could be easily misled by advertising and Fox News, maybe the ads worked. But they don't work on us. 100% for certain they don't. Just look:

If Google breaks some UI bits with search, it's no big deal, if Project Maven skews targeting in similar ways that we've seen from Israel's automation of targeting since October 7, well a lot of people are dead who have no reason to be dead and that just doesn't seem to matter
I HATE people whose hatred for some actual bellend makes them take leave of their actual senses. When you abandon science to criticize Elon Musk you are no better than he is on that front. Obviously he’s the worst person alive so on other fronts you’re fine. But abandoning science is always dumb.
If you cannot make an engineering criticism without mentioning a human being then you are making a political criticism. Leave engineers out of it. Humans are the problem. Not machines. It’s always humans. Fucking bellends. It’s *ALWAYS THE HUMANS*.
Here a guy suggests humanoid robots aren’t biologically-inspired because he has allowed his enmity for a truly execrable person to ruin this poor man’s own judgment. Don’t let Elon make you stupid. Think for yourself. He’s a fucking moron. You don’t have to be.

I mean Politico is literally not kidding for real owned by the Nazi publishing house Axel Springer. They’re the German Nazi voice on American Politics. Their founder was a Nazi sports reporter who published Nazi things and was a literal Nazi. Axel Springer was Germany’s Rupert Murdoch.
Larry Ellison got his big break when he got hired on as the CIA’s first - and only! - “Databases Guy.” He wrote Oracle for the CIA. He loves to tell this story. Proud of it. For some reason he owns Columbia Broadcasting System and so I propose we rename it to: “CIA Broadcasting System” State TV

It’s so hard to be gentle with others about their cultural appropriation. But not because I don’t want to be gentle. It’s because the gentle approach basically invites people to defend their cultural appropriation. Why isn’t the rule just “don’t appropriate other folks’ cultures.”
On the one hand: Elon stop smoking crack and climb into the ocean and stay there please. On the other hand: Building anything for use in the solar system on Earth is probably the dumbest possible way to explore the solar system, according to actual science. Physics makes Earth bad for this.

Pretty sure when you win the election it's a big election night. Pretty sure when your party's leadership all endorses the loser, it means the leadership is out of touch with the electorate.
