Jesus Christ taught others the truth, was crucified for saying He is the Messiah, and was resurrected to clear us from sin, including you. DM if curious. Please do not gift me AI fanart, nor come here to cause drama. I give all glory to God for my posts.

I'm not sure if we should call it "Christmas in July" in the Southern Hemisphere. Over there, it is winter, so if they want to celebrate Christmas there, it's not different from how we celebrate Christmas over here in the Northern Hemisphere. Over there, it could be just Christmas.

When I write, I feel that deviating from the standard rhythm makes the story easier to remember. I use a certain voice in one section, and I switch to a different voice in the next scene. Or, I speak like your average narrator while still keeping the dialogue realistic. It's what makes writing fun.

You guys are beautiful, unique, and stronger than you think. I hope you realize how much of a difference you make by just talking to somebody. A friend, your family member, even a stranger. Some people are more reserved, and that's okay, it is just what makes people interesting. I'm glad you exist.

I see creators telling their audience to quit pestering them and be patient, but I wonder if it's on a case-by-case basis. If the audience is asking a week after, then, yeah, it might be a bit soon. But if the project is radio silent for more than six months, wouldn't it be reasonable to inquire?

the venezuelan earthquakes tragedy continues on, two weeks later. i'm more actively posting about it on twitter because i do not have the energy to keep up with multiple social media pages at the moment + we venezuelans heavily rely on twitter to spread urgent news and information, bsky is useless.

screenshot showing a tweet i made on july 5 calling attention to the news of the official death toll from the venezuelan earthquakes having risen to 3342 at the time the news was posted.

"earthquakes death toll higher than 9/11 and the world still isnt talking about it enough. and these are just the official numbers, we know the actual number is much higher.

july 5 is independence day here in venezuela but we're in mourning. may we someday be free again. 🇻🇪"

VENEZUELA NEEDS URGENT HELP AFTER BACK-TO-BACK 7.2+7.5 EARTHQUAKES, AND YOU CAN HELP US.

I think people tend to forget what rallying others to boycott means. It's like owning a childhood plush. If the creator was caught up in controversy, would it not be cruel to suggest they throw it away? I found that it's less about supporting them and more about accepting the experience tied to it.

"I don't know if anyone will imagine the world I wrote." Describing a world is very easy. It does not have to be a separate element. It could be blended in with dialogue and actions. In this manner, your story has a healthy mix of description and interaction. It is like a meal with side dishes.

Character dialogue may be doing the heavy lifting in some places, and that is okay. In fact, it enhances your story. Switching between narration and dialogue allows the reader to see which theme is being emphasized. Including tags and gestures within long bouts of dialogue helps give it color, too.

When you are writing a story, it’s worth paying attention to the voice of your own narrative. How does it sound? Is it repetitive? Does it ramble? You may have a good plot going, but the manner of how you tell it is very important. It is like the oil to your car’s engine.

Some people find too much happiness overwhelming, and that is okay. No matter how much you hype them up, you just can't get a smile out of them. That doesn't mean you failed, it just means they find their happiness elsewhere. Meet them at their level, and you will find where they keep their smiles.

Feedback is natural. It is nice to hear improvement, but not where to make improvements. You might feel confident, discomfort, or somewhere in between, and that is okay. Some are optimistic, others are direct, and that is also okay. What matters is how you use that feedback for your improvement.

This is the reason why I never support callout posts. They wreck people's reputations in ways that take years to resolve. If a fallout was involved, that should only be between them. Making it public will only spread gossip and create messes that become too much to handle.

Do you NEED to make a callout post? - If they committed a crime, they need a police report, not a callout. - If they're just an asshole ex-friend, that can be solved with a private conversation or - failing that - a block button. - If they're into weird-but-harmless shit, mind your own business.

Update. DDB is back and has apologized, but he is taking a break. I wish the best for him but I hope he improves his communication to his members especially since this is not the only time it happened. They were stressed and struggling for a day straight as they were processing what just happened.

Daydreaming Birdie disappeared off social media all of a sudden and deleted his CRiTORA projects. I'm a friend with several crew members, and they are well-aware of this news. Shock and grief. I've been a fan of his project, so this is surprising to discover. I hope he finds enough peace to return.
