Somewhere to post (my very amateur) nature photos. Mostly around West Gateshead area.
Must we keep holding our politicians to such impossible standards?
Somewhere in here is a daylight fox spotted yesterday.
Watching the President receive the FIFA Peace Prize, I'm struggling to think of a more obvious attempt at placating/grovelling to a tyrannical man-baby than by giving him an entirely made-up award that makes literally no sense whatsoever.
I must have missed the wall-to-wall coverage of demands for an investigation into Nigel Farage's lies about being a racist Or about whether he knew Nathan Gill Or about who bought his house in Frinton
Great tit arriving at the nest box earlier this year. Hopefully just enough blurring for today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme. #blurred #birds #photography
Here is a beautifully dainty kittiwake for Alan's #BirdOfTheDay #shadesofgrey theme with more complementary shades of grey in the surrounding rocks. This lovely gull is in trouble, red listed, with the UK breeding population nearly halved over the last 50 years or so. #UKwildlife #birds
Good morning. Apologies for going missing in action yesterday but went out with mates. 🥴 The #BirdOfTheDay theme today is #shadesofgrey any bird with grey in their colours and the alternative is #beakopen Good luck. #birds #photography #EastCoastKin
Congressman Jamie Raskin hands Nigel Farage his a*** on a plate Anyone in the UK care to plagiarize?
Nigel Farage looks uncomfortable as Jamie Raskin uses his opening statement to absolutely demolish him
Jamie Raskin, "They only want to protect free speech that they agree with" JR then demolishes Farage, ending with "You might want to think twice before you let Nigel Farage Make Britain Great Again"
This is predicted to be one of the most damaging windfarms for birds we are aware of anywhere on the planet. We support nature positive offshore wind, but this isn’t it. It’s a disaster in the making.
A dark day for Scotland’s seabirds. We're incredibly concerned that Scottish Government have granted consent for the Berwick Bank offshore windfarm, which could catapult some of our most vulnerable species toward extinction 🚨 We will carefully scrutinise the details and consider our next steps.

The illegal killing of our beautiful birds must stop. It’s good to see MPs will be debating this urgent issue on Monday. Thank you to everyone who's spoken up so far. We’re close to getting the change our upland wildlife needs.
The illegal killing of Hen Harriers has hit a devastating new high. ⚠️ A new RSPB report reveals 102 incidents in just five years - with the majority on, or near, grouse moors. A thread…
The warning couldn’t be clearer. ⚠️ Slashing the nature-friendly farming budget would be catastrophic for the nature and climate crisis, and for our long-term food security. What's more, it would leave the UK Government’s credibility on climate and nature in tatters.
We’re calling on everyone who cares about nature: write to your MP now. Show them we won’t stand by while vital protections are ripped up: action.rspb.org.uk/page/159517/...
Help stop the Planning and Infrastructure Bill tearing up nature protections
I've written to my MP to demand that the UK Government adopts a nature-friendly approach to planning and development. Will you take action too?

We’re not alone. We & the @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social are united in calling for Part 3 to be scrapped. Keir Starmer, Rachel Reeves, Steve Reed, Angela Rayner, @matthewpennycookmp.bsky.social The choice is yours. And it will be remembered by the millions of us who care about the natural world.
Labour promised to restore nature. ❌ Instead, their Planning Bill contains a licence to destroy it. We offered solutions. We’re done waiting. Part 3 of the Bill would gut the laws protecting our most precious habitats & species. Without significant change, it must be scrapped.
