Okay, Spiderlight was… interesting. Some fun spiderthings that made me laugh out loud. The most dysfunctional party of adventurers - most of them were horrible human beings and I was thoroughly scandalized by how they treated our sweet little spidermonster for most of the book.

My Emily Wilde collection is now complete 💚 And what beautiful books they are! This is a very feel-good series for me, so peaceful and comforting. I adore Emily as a character, and the fairy lore is so interesting. The balance between romance, plot, and character moments is just perfect.

I love enemies-to-friends -trope so much. I'm always raging when the enemy is the most awful person on earth and then in the end the protag doesn't even befriend them, what kind of bad writing is that!! I need my villain redemption arcs

Book Prince

I got my own copy of Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow so I can finally blog about it a little💜 It's such a beautiful book that has the perfect taste of nostalgia and youth and life. All characters feel like actual flawed human beings with their own complicated feelings and relationships.

I have an excel sheet that has all the series I'm in the middle of reading & all the upcoming books I want to read and their publication dates and for some reason looking at it and updating it makes me ridiculously happy Excel sheets are fun ☺️

I read Iron Widow a couple weeks ago and just finished Heavenly Tyrant! And well well well, this was an interesting pair of books for sure. (so I obviously needed to buy the pretty editions, look at them, so vivid!)

I rarely buy middle grade books (since I'm not exactly their target audience anymore, it's just that their covers are often so beautiful and colorful and tempting) but The Pumpkin Princess and the Forever Night just called to me. I mean look at that cover!!

I read Harrow the Ninth and oh boy was it a journey. It's quite difficult to talk about it without spoiling Gideon so I feel like I can't really say much about the plot, but it was VERY different from the first book. Harrow, my sweet wife, is so all kinds of messed up. I love it.

I'm trying to draw again some old character concepts and it's kinda funny when almost everyone turns out as pretty anime girls and boys AND THEN there is that one character whose whole thing is to be the pretty and trendy one and ofc she just looks like a monstrous potato frog no matter what

I’ve been getting so damaged books from the library recently, the previous one had actual loose pages and it was terrifying to read and try to keep them all in and the current one I just started reading has it’s spine completely torn off 🙃 Let me have my book order and those new pristine books soon
