MJ caught her coat, noticing that Felicia had taken a glance at her earrings. “Shoot, I’m totally wearing /those/ earrings.” MJ muttered to herself, her freckled cheeks turning a little red. “I’m game! What did you have in mind for us?” She slipped into her coat, zipping up as she looked at her.

“I saw a bunch of this guy’s work when I was writing an article about him this summer for The Bugle.” She nodded a little, before her gaze shifted back to him. “Something to eat actually would be great. I was only partially kidding about the treat thing.”

He's not even going to question how she managed to actually recognize the artist –– a shake of his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Something ... like that, look –– " He's exasperated, "Do you want anything? To, like, drink? Eat?"

“Very funny. That ship has sailed.” She flipped her hair, accidentally revealing her Spider-Man themed earrings. Obviously she was missing him. “Just us works great for me. We are both free agents after all.” She knew Felicia wasn’t one to be tied down. Well, not in that sense anyway.

Based on his reaction, she could tell it wasn’t something he had put up. Still, a perfect opportunity to tease him. “Don’t tell me, little miss cat baths put that there?” She stepped forward, getting a closer look. “Wait I know this artist, the cost of a commission like this is… Wow.”

“Leg warmers AND drinks huh?” MJ smiled. “Sure, I’d be up for that. Think we should bring along Peter or would he be third-wheeling?” A test. She wanted to get an idea of Felicia’s true intention. They had been rivals in a sense for a long time, the friendliness was a nice change of pace.

“Uh huh.” She gave him a look, the ‘I don’t believe you, but I like you too much to care’ look. It was one she used a lot on him. “Did you have this painting here last time? I don’t remember it.” She pointed to a small painting of Spider-Man & Black Cat together, seemingly professionally done.

He cringes inwards at himself –– idiot. He gently closes the door once she's inside, turning his head at her –– watching her pace around his apartment. "N –– Not saying that you're, like, a mess or anything ... ! Haha –– !" Play it cool. 💦

He seemed less committed to the hug than she was. Better play it cool. “For the most part?” She asked, giving him another squeeze in the hug before letting him go and slipping by him into his warm apartment. She glanced around, looking for anything that may have changed since she was last there.

It wasn’t long before a knock was heard at the front door of his apartment. MJ adjusted her purse on her shoulder, it was a little heavier than usual thanks to her tablet. “Guess who!” She said, before knocking again. MJ was very eager to see him, even more than usual.

Just as she finished sending her text, another popped up. She quickly typed out and sent her reply, remaining by her open window. 📲 “Yep! I that study abroad trip in England kept me out of town for some serious time. We should get together and catch up.”
