While it may look like there is a decrease in homelessness in NYC, the details tell a different story. Homelessness among long-term New Yorkers actually INCREASED by 27% between Jan 2022 and Dec 2025, and evictions surpassed pre-pandemic levels.

We worked with our partners in the legislature Assemblymember Karines Reyes & @sengonzalezny.bsky.social to pass a bill requiring universal access to WiFi in shelters. Now, it's up to the @governor.ny.gov to sign the law and ensure that homeless NYers have access to the internet.
