Arlen can be a real jerk at times. The more stressed he is the more likely he'll lash out on someone or give them a hard time. He often comes off as insensitive, using humor or sarcasm to hide any uncomfortable emotions instead of confronting them.

Edwin TERRIFIED, his father wasnt a necromancer but a blood mage that did some heinous stuff that traumatized him. He smiles and bares it when Emmrich does his thing but he 100% threw up after that scene in the Lighthouse with Zara. 💀💀 Aaand Arlen married a necromancer and is fascinated by it. 💚

For Arlen it was when Dorian left Skyhold for Tevinter. Everything kinda came crashing around him. The inquisition disbanded, his lover reduced to a long distance romance and losing his arm took a major toll on him. He was a wreck for a time but Sera pulled him out of it.

Maybe not "small" but he has a fear of necromancy, corpses and the undead. Let's just say he had to grin and bear it for most of his time in the Veilguard. The way he had to hold back his lunch when he walked into Emmrich's room with a corpse on the table. 🤢

Davrien can absolutely dance; he learned a few traditional dalish dances back with Clan Lavellan, then in the run up to the Grand Masquerade, Josephine, Leliana, Cassandra and Dorian taught him more traditional human dances so he was prepared for the Winter Palace.

Arlen never saw himself as someone that would be a father and actually wasn't very fond of kids. Markus slowly changed that. Arlen's certainly a bit unconventional, still being a bit childish himself, the "fun" dad but doesn't coddle. Markus is overall an easy child and Arlen got lucky with that.
