This is an excellent suggestion (and something we've been doing for any deep changes). Typing out changes loads context into your mind in a way you'll never get from reading in a code review.

A solid day optimizing Oban's metrics layer. We sped up a common operation used in Web by ~1200x, and all other operations are < 1ms!
