Last night I had a dream in which a gaming convention was held in a dead shopping mall, and while constantly of that size likely don't happen often enough to make it practical, part of me wonders if I'm onto something on how we save malls.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant you like, fully expecting to enjoy a food you know you like and have been craving, only to find that they have some other option you really like that you didn't even know was on the menu? That's how I'm feeling about learning Lindsay Graham died.

Today's crazy Lyft story: I ended up getting a long ride towards the southern end of Delaware, one of the longest single rides I've done. Since it meant I would need to cross through it to get home, I called in impulse plans and visited an old friend in Dover over some smoothies.

I want to host some board game events at my place over the summer, at least once I have our home a little more organized for it. And I know I have the audience for it. My issue is that I also know the number of people interested exceeds the number I can comfortably and realistically invite.

Today's crazy Edgmont story: last day at the school. We kept it light by seeing which of my students could run through my division flash cards the fastest. My teacher bought me lunch, while some of my students gave me these cards, reminding me I'm the goat, the bid, and doing an amazing job.

Today's crazy Edgmont story: the class had to write a letter to the 4th grade class explaining what to expect when they move onto 5th grade. It's also the day grades are due, so I can't pull any kids away from this or any other overdue work, so I used some of my downtime to do the same assignment.

So I got notice today that my last day at Edgmont is going to be on Monday. The last actual day of school Friday of next week, so this isn't really a shock. That said, it also means my schedule and energy levels are clearing up a ton, so anyone wanna get hit up a cafe or diner or something similar?

A new God of War game was announced yesterday, this time featuring Kratos's wife Faye as the lead character. Naturally, this has a bunch of people super upset because people don't want others to have nice things. If you're one of them, you should know that... (1/4)

Yesterday's crazy Edgmont story: the school is doing a competition for 24, that math game with the flash cards, with the winners moving to a district-wide match. I had the role of being timekeeper. I would have done more if I was asked.

Another thought about the latest Trump assassination attempt: Trump has a known pattern of demanding loyalty over quality in his cabinet and inner circle. What if that extends to his security team? That the people actually good at their job are gone, so he's left with the bottom of the barrel?

I took one night to be mostly off the grid and once I'm back on it, I see we've got another Trump assassination attempt...or at least that's the official story. What do we think the chances are this one was staged too?

Amy and I were supposed to go on a double date tonight, but the other couple sent a message as we were nearly at the intended meeting site (which was much closer to them) saying they weren't coming anymore.

I wish those who supported the protests yesterday that your favorite TV show is renewed, you find $20 in some random corner of the house, that friend you've wanted to get back in touch with calls back, and you learn the name of that song stuck in your head but don't remember enough to search for it.
