This week, we had the chance to stand with USW 7135 on their picket line at National Steel Car. This employer is attempting to undermine the health and safety rights of these workers. These individuals have the right to work and return home safely. Shout out to CUPE 7800 for the ice cream.

We traveled to show our support for the small yet determined picket line in Niagara, where USW L14241-01 at Salit Steel has been striking since June 24, 2026. These workers are defending their hard-earned RRSP contributions & addressing other critical issues that the employer is trying to reduce.

Tuesday evening, OFL Secretary Treasurer Ahmad Gaied, along with CLC and various community activists, took to the streets in Beaches East-York to show their support for Shannon Devine for Beaches—East!

What an amazing night to get out with OSBCU - CSCSO education workers canvassing throughout Paul Calandra's riding! While the Ford government wants to spend taxpayer dollars on ads attacking teachers and education workers, the workers hit the pavement to talk to the community.

OFL officers, Laura Walton, Ahmad Gaied and Michael Hamilton were on the line this morning to support West Jet workers! One would think that the airline industry would recognize the need to pay workers for all time worked! Just a year ago Air Canada workers went on strike over the same issue!

Today the OFL joined affiliates to celebrate a Toronto Caribbean Carnival! A celebration and display of culture, community and rich in history! It was amazing to connect with so many workers on floats and on da road! Happy Caribana!

Pride is political, Pride is a Protest and Pride is a worker issue! For only the second time in the history of Pride Toronto, Labour marched as one this weekend! OFL affiliates marched as a united group, proudly showing that in labour we fight together, we march together, we win together!
