Prioritized catching up on Silo & HotD the past couple of weeks so I’m glad I can shift focus back to finishing The Ninth Jedi (one episode in and I thought it was a groovy remix so far) and finally getting around to the Aang movie.

Variety did an interview with Simon Farnaby and it looks like he and Paul King were doing a Star Wars project after Paddington 2, which definitely sounds like it was Star Wars: A Droid Story. Glad to hear it’s got a second life as its own thing, but damn that 2020 investor day will haunt me forever.

Among the incoming offers was from Disney and Lucasfilm for a “Star Wars” film that King would direct and the pair would write (Farnaby’s second brush with the Force after a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance as a rebel pilot in “Rogue One”).

“So we got distracted by that for a while,” he says, adding that their idea was based around a robot and didn’t involve any of the key “Star Wars” characters, something he acknowledges might have played a part in it not working out (although the concept is being reworked into something else). “They were like, we really need it to be a ‘Star Wars’ movie, which is probably why it didn’t get turned into a ‘Star Wars’ movie!” he says with a chuckle. “But we never really nailed it.”Darth Vader meme asking if Star Wars: A Droid Story is safe and all right?

Finally caught up on Silo. If you’re not checking out the Rebecca Ferguson feral badass dystopian power hour you’re missing out. Wild to think Apple of all things has had the most consistent number of must watch shows for me the last 6 years.

A squirrel apparently just up and died in the middle of my driveway this afternoon so had to take care of that while WFH today. (I’d like to think he just wanted to take a permanent warm nap in the sun) These are the joys of homeownership they don’t tell you about.

I’m real interested to see how the “Vote Blue No Matter Who” crew navigates the next few months. I worry it only goes one way (to the right) but I hope I’m wrong. I’ve got a congressman I wish I had an alternative on but we play the cards we’re dealt. Guess we’ll just have to see.

A lot of national attention today, and rightfully so, about the pieces of shit that govern Ohio, but I also want to shoutout the regular people who make this place worth saving. It doesn’t just stop at the ballot box this fall. It has to be a 365 24/7 effort. www.wvxu.org/local-news/2...

Currently holding a spot in line so my son can meet “Bluey” at the local minor league game while they go on a 30 min break (after a previous 30 min wait). The kiddo has been a trooper but I’m questioning my life decisions. How’s everybody else’s night going?

Hot Take: In my opinion, Ludwig Göransson’s The Mandalorian and Grogu score is a better than his one for The Odyssey. He’s undeniably a master of his craft, I get what he’s trying to do in The Odyssey, but M&G is much more interesting and enjoyable for re-listening.
