Any Chelsea fans out there? My middle child is, so we made the (short) pilgrimage to Stamford Bridge

I’m sitting in an Irish pub in Dublin having a Guinness and some Irish beef stew, and in the background are the sweet strains of legendary Irish musician Bob Marley
I’m pretty sure this flight to Dublin has more redheads than any other flight I’ve ever been on. Counted 10 during boarding!
Damn what an awful mistake. Dude sitting behind us flying for the first time and somewhere along the way he got given a Westjet boarding pass instead of Transat??? Both flights going to Dublin. How is that even possible? Back to the gate we go. Hope he makes his flight.
Yes, now I’m playing YYZ as we make our descent into YYZ

Has America Crossed the Asshole Threshold?

39 years ago today, my buddy Marc and I were standing in knee deep water in the parking lot of the Jube, cheering on the massive lightning strikes on the smokestack of the U of A power plant. Had no idea parts of Edmonton were being destroyed until we left and went to our homes.
In the uncountably many decades I’ve been an adult, I have never been called for jury duty. My youngest turned 18 a few months ago, and he gets tagged for jury duty during first week at university! Luckily they accepted that likely failing his first year was a legitimate hardship and excused him.
They found an alternative captain, he’s “walking over” from his United flight. Apparently he’s been traded to American?? Wonder if he gets an A on his jersey?
My flight from Chicago to Indianapolis is delayed half an hour (so far) because … “the flight crew can’t find the captain” … wtf?
Ooooweee that brilliance from Bellingham saved Rice from some major potential embarrassment
