I remember being in the US many years ago, road tripping, and me and my friends went to Kentucky (the state) just to have Kentucky (the chicken). It was fine.

"Are you the youngest of your siblings?" Me: "No" "Then you must be middle" Me: "No, the oldest" "No chance. You don't give that energy" Me: "What is oldest sibling energy?" "Responsible, stoic, mindful" Me: "I have a younger sister" "She must be an insane person then compared to you" Me: "Thanks"

My main issue with "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" is that I don't like fish.

"If you can believe it, this food hall used to be a factory" [30 years later] "If you can believe it, this data center used to be a food hall"

Here is a literal, word for word, conversation I had with the Norwegian customs agent at the airport. Him: "Where did you fly from?" Me: "Denmark" Him: "Why are you here?" Me: "I live here" Him: "Go away" (motions me to the exit door)

"What are you reading?" -"Oh it's just some code generated by a machine that nobody reads but everyone pretends to understand" "AI code?" -"No, assembly"

Why would you need to download and install code libraries these days? Just ask your AI to add the feature into your own codebase... It's simpler than package management in C++ (this has been a C++ package management joke post, please behave accordingly)

I don't like social media feeds in perfect time order. Because there are two types of posters. People that post 400 times a day and people that post once a day. So my feed is dominated by frequent posters and I have to go into the profiles of people I know don't post too much to check.

I'm never a pretzel guy, always found them to be too try and flavorless. In a trip to Germany 8 years ago I had this soft pretzel filled with butter and let me tell you reader, I still think about it. To Germans this is probably a bad or basic pretzel but to me this was a "come to Jesus moment".

What on earth is liquid smoke made out of? [googles, sees first image] There must be a better explanation [second image] I give up, it's magic (btw, no need to tell me, after more searching it's cooled and condensed wood smoke, it's just a post about the huge contrast between the links I found)

Ingredients
Water, Natural Hickory Smoke Concentrate. unhelpful science paper called "Chemical characterization of commercial liquid smoke products", too sciency for me

Not a single clock in my kitchen match. Microwave, oven, coffee maker, all 1 minute off from each other. My parents recently visited, not saying that's the cause... but... you know.

So much software is optimistic these days, showing you a successful operation while still working behind the scenes I would see success and then close the app, which would sometimes cause a failure So now, I always wait a few sec after doing stuff, which kinda defeats the purpose of optimistic UI

When posting my videos on social media these days, I go into every sub menu and every little options thing in the posting page. This is just to check if they've auto opted me into some nonsense or changed the meaning of a checkbox from "allow sharing" to "duel with the devil" or something

I can understand most DMs people send me. But I don't understand when people send me my own videos with text like "have you seen this one?" Yes. Yes I've seen it.

Social media platform but you only get the negative notifications. When someone unfollows, blocks you, removes a like, reports you. If you wanna see the comments, you have to go into the post and check. Wanna see likes? You need to go into analytics and find the post and see there.

I wonder how much work GitHub does to let people know that the jQuery library they are using in their 12 year old hobby project that is not deployed anywhere is not safe to use anymore.
