The version of "Little Wing" has to fight through 80s production, but it wins the fight (it helps that it's a great use of Sting's voice, which, well, the man was gifted by nature with a great set of vocal cords); it might be my favorite non-Hendrix version of the song

139. Loverboy - Keep It Up Didn't buy the butt cover album (I thought it was a guy until the other day) but for some reason bought this one. Maybe for "Queen of the Broken Hearts," clearly the best song on the album. 😂 But I have it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

138. Loverboy Debut album by the Canadian band. The lead single was "Turn Me Loose" but my favorite song off this is the kickin' album opener "The Kid Is Hot Tonite." For some reason I have a memory of listening to it in someone's living room in Memphis, I think. I must've bought it there.

137. Love and Rockets - Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven The boys in Love and Rockets (and Tones on Tail, of course) made some of the best psychedelic music of the 80s. "Kundalini Express" on acid is (…I'm told…) quite epic, and many of the songs on this debut would also fit that bill. #vinyl

135 & 136. Jets To Brazil - Perfecting Loneliness Oddly, while I felt that the ORD reissue (the album, not the airport) sounded excellent, I wasn't so fond of the audio here. Didn't sound nearly as dynamic, and I'm not quite sure why. I'll need to listen to this double #vinyl again to be sure. 😄

Jets To Brazil - Orange Rhyming Dictionary A few weeks ago, I joked that I was listening to J2B so I was clearly doing great, mentally. 🥴😄 But that led to the songs getting stuck in my head for the ensuing weeks, and I saw that these re-releases were on sale, so I scooped them up. #vinyl

131. Little River Band - Greatest Hits "Cool Change" is probably my favorite track on here. Or maybe it's "Reminiscing." But there's like 5 more songs that I remember from late 70s-early 80s MOR radio. Nothing offensive, just cool tunes.

130. Huey Lewis and the News - Sports It's a darn good 80s album. This plus "The Power of Love" in 1985 had Huey & the boys about unstoppable for a few years there. The video for "If This Is It" is still an 80s fave.
