Great to see this game finally get a full retail release as opposed to a series of limited print runs. It deserves to be accessible (not that you can't already buy it digitally on multiple platforms)

I have a vague assumption that this is just because it's hard for AI to screw up branding that's just a blob with eyeballs. That's already kind of what AI spits out on the regular anyway.

Someone should make this mod but for removing him from the public consciousness instead of just pokemon
Vinyl@dumbnbass.bsky.social · 2mo agoMy only exposure to Ed Shearswhatever was that one of the first mods for Pokemon Scarlet was one that removed his song from the credits
I want to believe that in the Echoverse Jace makes everyone pronounce it this way. Like one of the Jace fragments is the Sphinge-Corrector and this is his purpose.

Whoever this is in the new Kirby game, I'm already mentally earmarked the $50 it's going to cost to get a plush from Japan
This new thread feature is neat in principle but it has that "vibe coded" feel to it. Inserting itself into text visually is a bug that should never make it to production.
I've done the majority of my video game shopping at @vgp-videogamesplus.bsky.social for the last 2-3 years, but I think that ends today. I'd rather quit gaming altogether than suck up to a literal NeoNazi fascist. Have some pride.
My worst fear for the stretch of this season is Mark Vientos contributes just enough they keep him around on the main roster next year
I understand now what Freddy Peralta needed was just to play AGAINST the Mets.
Musk once said he thought he would be arrested by a Dem president's DoJ and it was more effective of a campaign message than anything 99% of the party actually campaigned on in 2024.
Clock finally broke on a decent time to be occasionally correct on

A human would be fired for doing this therefore we should let a computer do it 1000 times a second

Agree with the OP, but also I think the prototype looks like the WiiU is wearing a beer hat. Which I still would have gladly bought at the time.

Why did I wait 30 years to play this game. It's hysterical and full of heart.

Happy to hear my local city council signed an ordinance refusing to zone any part of the city for data centers this week. On top of the surveillance state these things ruin living spaces with heat and noise pollution.
As always I'll believe it when it's gone and everyone involved is criminally prosecuted but imagine how hideously unpopular ICE must be that even the DNC had to stand for something for once.

Anything to curtail the current wave of enshittification. Not to excuse capitalism, but it does often feel like companies have completely given up on making better products in favor of making worse ones and charging you to get the old functionality back.
Katie Mack@astrokatie.com · 3mo agoI feel like an issue that would connect well with voters would be doing anything at all to slow the current progression toward "absolutely everything now is a scam"
I feel like I'm betraying my core values but it's a little wild how often I find myself buying retro from GameStop these days. On a lot of things they undercut the secondary market and sell their games at loose prices.
I feel like this kind of content easily drifts into Copaganda. But I remember like, Yo-Kai watch sending a superboss after you if you cross the street too many times on a don't walk sign and I feel like other cultures get the gist of what's being said here.
Better Things Are Possible@internethippo.bsky.social · 3mo agoThere are no financial incentives for it but we need a thousand Normal Guy politics/culture youtubers/podcasters to drown out the malevolent antisocial ones.
