An ERC Consolidator Grant Project researching the intervening performativity of smell across time, space, and disciplines. PI: Prof. Dr. Silke Felber, University of Arts Linz (Austria) https://olfac.kunstuni-linz.at

I am speaking later, in Linz and online! What do stink bombs do and how/why did people use them? How did their use vary in different countries? How did they differ from previous smelly weapons and/or attempts at smelly disruption of public events? These are some of the things I'm thinking about.

What is the fate of #smell as a tool of #activism and/or political repression? Today at 5 pm, we're excited to welcome @willtullett.bsky.social to our #lectureseries "the #Senses in #Performance" with his talk: #Olfactory Violence and the Freedom to Speak: #StinkBombs in Interwar Europe

Thank you Myia Yoshida for your sensitive, grounding #lecture "Mimi o Sumasu – the Very Act of Listening." Through images, sound and poetry, she explored this notion as attunement to ecological sensitivity, where time becomes both the subject and the method of inquiry for unsayble. #OLFAC
