Dear EU customers, thanks to Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation I have to stop selling to the EU. Each country wants it's separate payment for recycling and I can't afford it. If you like any of my products please contact me by a pm and I will find a way to send it to you.
A new flock of sheep has arrived! Soon I will dress them in brown and white hand spun wool. They are made by hand by my neighbour Remo, farmer and wood artist. He makes them in some spare time while his goats graze.
Madder red yarn getting dry on the balcony. I used solar heat and rain water to dye it. I'm lucky to have such a big reservoir for rain water, I still use winter rains to dye my yarn.
According to forecast normal summer will start next week with normal summer temperatures and rain. I hope it really will.
Two new Gaby wool scarves are available 🐑 I worked this wool by hand from fleece to shawls. The white one is decorated with my merino yarn. The other one is natural dyed with different plants and flowers. pecorelle.etsy.com/listing/4553... pecorelle.etsy.com/listing/4553...
It rained for nearly two hours this evening. Tomorrow will be another hot day but it feels so good now.
I will wear it to markets. Many people take pictures, but I never see them.
Every year I play hide-and-seek with zucchini. And every year I lose 😆
Dear Sun 🌞, you don't let me to lit fire outside to dye my yarn. So work for me! I have other things to do. 🧶 Solar dyeing. Mordented yarn is left with plants in the jars in a sunny place for a month. Time and sun are dyeing the yarn.
The old miners road 8s beautiful. But my new knee is not ready for these round stones it is paved with.
Many thanks to our neighbour and friend Chantal who lets the sheep graze in her forest. With the draught the only green things remain are trees and brambles.
Had to rescue this elderly lady from the brambles. I believe she rolled down the slope and ate her way up. She's standing here, it's a very steep place. I nearly forget my spring knee surgery at times. Only when I fall it hurts much more than the other knee. Steep slopes.
Golden rod. It doesn't grow where I am, I have to go down the mountain to pick it up. (it probably will climb up in the next years with the temperatures we are having). It gives beautiful bright yellow colour on wool.
The garden caretaker enjoying well deserved morning nap 🐈⬛
Liguria pictures. Portovenere, Lerici, goats, and the sea.
It was a wonderful weekend! I went to Liguria to spin wool and see the sea. It was a sort of last minute decision, I wasn't sure I'd go so I didn't write anything about it. But I went and it was so good. I spun in the evening and went sightseeing in the daytime.
Yesterday at Colle di Nivolet. The plan was for me to wait till my friend walks around the lakes but something went wrong and I went too :) Normally I walk without a crutch now, but it was rather a long walk for me on uneven terrain so I used it.
Many thanks to Sally for supporting me with a ko-fi!
New yarn! My sheep's merino wool dyed with madder, cochineal, chestnuts and onions. It's not on Etsy, if you're interested please contact me.
I don't believe it. I've spent several hours adjusting US prices (prices include tariffe now) two days ago. Give me strength. "tariff rates may vary based on the type of item you’re shipping, not just the country of origin. Your costs to ship to US buyers may increase."
A friend came to visit me yesterday and we stayed talking long into the night. So glad to have a woolly support for my head this morning 😴🐑
