As Trump’s war on America’s public schools heats up, progressive curriculum providers are in the crosshairs. Marianne Dhenin writes on the recent shuttering of one such program.

"I spent two days in America interviewing taxi drivers and despite what you may think not all Americans are gun-toting cowboys who eat burgers and love fascism, some are humans! " -Excerpt from my new book, The World is Not Flat
People living in the Middle East are not some special species that becomes more immune to tragedy the more they experience it. They are humans who are suffering at levels that are almost inconceivable To believe otherwise is to justify your cold indifference
I must applaud bluesky for managing to be the most anti-Arab social media platform going today.
I heard you were interested in Iran gender and imperialism
Sorry if you stand with the idf you’re also standing with ice
They want you to deny what is right in front of your eyes
“I did nothing see!” (The most incriminating video imaginable)
In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.
The second amendment guarantees every American the right to be shot by armed paramilitary thugs
The shootings will continue until morale improves
The shooting comes one day after an ICE agent shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis.
Oh look the Islamophobia who daily calls for the murder of Muslims supports murder
Rep. Randy Fine: "If you impede the actions of our law enforcement as they seek to repel foreign invaders from our country, you get what's coming to you. I do not feel bad for the woman that was involved."
"If you just change four letters in Honda Pilot, you have Hamas Pilot and that means this brave officer stopped another 9/11" -a US government official today probably
Bluesky is hiding our post which shows what happened in Minneapolis, even though there's no graphic content (the victim is never shown). Video evidence shows the public what happened and allows people to form an opinion, which is especially important when officials call it an act of terrorism.
weird. where have I seen this exact tactic used over and over for two straight years?
Note that DHS's new statement on the ICE killing in Minneapolis today closely tracks the version of events they initially put out about the shooting in Chicago:
when reached for comment ICE said it's all cool, it was actually a Palestinian girl and putting three bullets in her face was proper restraint
DHS tweeted this yesterday. Little more than 24 hours later, ICE agents just shot and killed a legal observer in Minneapolis.
CBP just shot a woman "in the face" as she attempted to drive away in Minneapolis. Unconfirmed reports are that she's dead.
Palestine should be your litmus test, and in Rahm's case the paper strip has completely disintegrated
we are going to hear a lot from rahm because “serious” washington pundits like him
This is excellent (finally got a chance to read it). It’s an unmasking of the interconnected forces attacking *all* of higher ed. The exposing of the edtech industrial complex, represented by the truly awful Instructure/Canvas (now in partnership with OpenAI) is esp important. I plan to share widely
This was published in the dead week between Christmas and New Year’s. If you work in education & were, reasonably, taking a break, maybe you missed it. Don’t miss it.
thinking of all the blood that has been spilled in your name? why don't you check out this new brand of bacon spaghetti
If the DEA had killed 80 innocent Americans in the course of apprehending one drug dealer, there would be riots. But we are so ghoulishly indifferent to the lives and humanity of people abroad that it's barely even part of the conversation.
"Follow the money" is always good advice when reporting. Last year, I interviewed healthcare workers about retaliation and censorship of Palestine speech. I wanted to know who was behind the attacks. I found war profiteers on the boards of hospitals and universities. For more, check out my reporting
