"I spent two days in America interviewing taxi drivers and despite what you may think not all Americans are gun-toting cowboys who eat burgers and love fascism, some are humans! " -Excerpt from my new book, The World is Not Flat

People living in the Middle East are not some special species that becomes more immune to tragedy the more they experience it. They are humans who are suffering at levels that are almost inconceivable To believe otherwise is to justify your cold indifference

In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.

Bluesky is hiding our post which shows what happened in Minneapolis, even though there's no graphic content (the victim is never shown). Video evidence shows the public what happened and allows people to form an opinion, which is especially important when officials call it an act of terrorism.

This is excellent (finally got a chance to read it). It’s an unmasking of the interconnected forces attacking *all* of higher ed. The exposing of the edtech industrial complex, represented by the truly awful Instructure/Canvas (now in partnership with OpenAI) is esp important. I plan to share widely

This was published in the dead week between Christmas and New Year’s. If you work in education & were, reasonably, taking a break, maybe you missed it. Don’t miss it.

"Follow the money" is always good advice when reporting. Last year, I interviewed healthcare workers about retaliation and censorship of Palestine speech. I wanted to know who was behind the attacks. I found war profiteers on the boards of hospitals and universities. For more, check out my reporting
