Revisiting the Barriers - From Insight to Action, panel session Chaired by Nia Richards FRSA with Kristien Carrington, Gemma Marshall, and Chris Coyle-Chislett. The panel considered what practical actions and partnerships could make the greatest difference across Cornwall’s education landscape.

Session three was our keynote from Nia Richards FRSA on Creative Leadership in Challenging Times. This keynote challenges leaders to think differently about engagement, belonging, and community connection; reframing adversity as a catalyst for innovation.

We moved on to a panel discussion on Exploring the Priorities. Led by Jen Blunden OBE, with a panel of local leaders and practitioners: Kate Littledyke, Janine Bisson and Jason Toy taking a closer look at three priority themes identified through the research.

Our first session of the day was with Professor Tanya Ovenden-Hope drawing on insights from the Pretty Poverty Report, exploring the systemic barriers that continue to impact attendance and belonging across Cornwall.

A fully engaged room for the keynote speaker Mohamed Abdallah on 'Mattering, Belonging & Becoming' Sharing his personal perspective of education, the importance of being seen by a nurturing teacher, and what engages children in schools - “Relationships are the foundation.” Thank you Mohamed.
