This. This. This is what fascism looks like. Anyone. Anyone who has a flag up in their ends needs to give their heads a wobble.
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.

returning to last week's Brandon Beef. It does appear that West Side Story is being recreated on the East side of the Brandon (that's across John Ruskin Street as Bobby Womack sang -maybe.) Attn SE5 & SE17 types
Outback this morning. Maffie pub cat (who is the size of a large dog fox) on shed roof having back and forth with b&w cat from two doors down. Also present is that panther creature. When I go out to (politely) usher Maffie off Minxy decides to trot out like an away firm hiding behind a police escort
Caught TV news not least the horror show report on Surrey rivers. That and the influencer assassin had me leaving the room but not before good news from Westminster & Kenny/Chelsea councils about those car show off weapons, Espiecially that if you promote on social media that gets you nicked too.
guessing it's too soon for the 'not viagra making him stiff this time' jokes. #niche
This is worth a read SE17 types as, apparently, this gaff was cited on London News article and b/c of the article below I was able to talk about it with some authority*. Everything ain't black and white or even, it appears, rainbow. *some is doing alot of work there

looking at the Manc results (hooray!). Note that (in old money) British Movement vote was 10,000 below Tories and Lib Dems combined and National Front vote about twice that total. In short things are better but effin hell there's quite the voting block out there worryingly fond of ethnonationalism
Just (finally) finished Bruce Chatwin's Patagonia. It took me awhile but effin hell that is a properly fine book. Think what helped was about a third of way in read a few chapters after liquor and it all flowed. Gonzo travel writing I guess.
In extremely niche local news "the Spanish lot" have properly pissed off Brandon residents resulting in the courts off John Ruskin being locked. Sign cites 'piss everywhere' and 'noise till 3AM'. If only the Doctor were there to sort things out.
word of day is 'ultrabarb' which is not a new Marvel franchise but a kind of metal wall topper on Calais Street that's better than barbed wire.

Off out to Salon for City a bit later where thankfully won't have to put up with anyone who watched the recent FIFA World Cup complaining about, checks notes, FIFA and its world cup. You tolerated that and your children are next.

Slightly dreading leaving (air conditioned) work for the *checks* 34 degree heat of outside. That said going home via Brixton Bookmonger is always a cool experience or is that chilling. No that'd imply summat else..
This is top work from @mrmmarsh.bsky.social London types might remember this weapon for his LDN 'media' outlets, general wham chatting and his tilt at the Mayor's job. I first came across him at Salon for the City. Worth a few minutes of your time. He works out of Dubai now. Fancy that.

Heart stopping moment on way home. On pavement on Calais Street the 'thin white duke' cat lying still on its side. Went up close and noticed breathing. Just having a kip outside its front door the horror. In honour of the beast youtu.be/ZY77zDzNmYw

Very proud of the people who have sprayed with a big heart 'Brixton is pro-choice' on the pavement at corner of water lane and Brixton Hill where the anti abortion lot usually stand.
