For non-WNBA watchers: The Minnesota Lynx are coached by Cheryl, and they are playing the Indiana Fever. The Fever have a transphobe on their team that has attracted a traveling circus of bigots, first to Portland, and now to Minnesota. Cheryl is doing what the WNBA as a corporation refuses to do.

PSA for basketball watchers: the term "moving screen" is a misnomer, used by announcers who don't know better. Screeners are not required to remain completely stationary once they've established a legal guarding position: they can then firm up their stance, & both feet do not need to be "planted". 🏀

You couldn't do anything interesting with the "Chase Freedom Motif" or "Chase Freedom Gradient"? You couldn't integrate it with anything actually relevant to the Golden State Valkyries? PSA: fouls and free throws are not the same thing. A player could foul five times in a game, giving away 0-15 FT. Wide variation. Refs may call the same amount of fouls on each team, but 1 team gets a lot more FTAs b/c of the type/timing. Disciplined teams don't foul 3 point shooters. 🏀
The more big money in your league, the more conservative it's going to swing. Once your good thing becomes a commodity, resource extractors are going to swoop, & they don't care about social issues. The time to fight back hard is now, or the #WNBA we know is going away.
