📣 Did you catch us in the news? Our comments on Scotland's recent glue trap ban were featured in 16 news outlets, including The Independent, STV and The Scotsman 🙌

As of today, glue traps will become illegal in Scotland 👏🐁 We have long campaigned for a ban on glue traps in Scotland and are delighted that these cruel devices will now be consigned to the history books.

Were delighted to join the Eurogroup for Animals conference in Brussels this week (even in 35‑degree heat)! We always leave inspired by the incredible work happening from member organisations, and driven to help build a Europe that truly cares for animals. When we work together, animals win. 👏

We were quoted in The Herald last week against the guga hunt. Scotland should be moving forward on wild animal welfare — not defending outdated practices that cause suffering.

NatureScot has confirmed a new licence application for this year’s cruel guga hunt. We’ll soon submit a detailed report outlining serious animal welfare concerns—and will keep pushing for the legal change needed to end this hunt for good. 📣 Let's hear more from OneKind CEO Jason Rose.

Removing baby birds from their nests and clubbing them to death is cruel and needless. Human presence in the colony can cause wider stress and disruption. Causing suffering cannot be excused by tradition. @onekind.org is submitting evidence to NatureScot to persuade them not to grant a licence. ❤️🦆

Last year saw a huge backlash against the traditional hunt - but now the stage is set for it to happen again www.heraldscotland.com/news...

OneKind CEO Jason Rose on BBC Alba explaining why we must put an end to the cruel annual killing of baby gannets in Scotland. We'll be launching a new supporter action to end the guga hunt soon - keep your eyes peeled! 👀

A new Parliament is on the horizon, bringing new opportunities for animal welfare. 🐾 Some of our key animal welfare asks have been reflected in party manifestos—and we’ll be working to ensure these commitments turn into real action. Let’s hear from Kirsty, our Director of Policy.

The UK Government recently committed to a phase‑out and two Scottish political parties backed this change in their manifestos. Our calls are being heard. ✅ With a new Scottish Parliament now in place, we will be working hard to make sure Scotland delivers a future without farrowing cages.

What have Scotland's political parties promised for animals? 🐖🐕🐒 🔎 We’ve examined what parties say about animals and how closely their commitments match the asks set out in our OneKind manifesto, shared with parties across the political spectrum over the past year.
