Generally set apart from a sentence by an explanation point (or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong).

Trumpism (defined as Fuck You, You Can't Make Me, Do What I Say Or Else) is a political-ideological success in that it enabled and empowered Voughtism and Millerism. Trumpism (defined as Trump Knows Policy, including Build The Wall, Repeal And Replace, Tariffs, maybe MAHA) far less so.

Something I think that underlies a lot of debates within the Democratic party and center-left right now is whether or not you think Trumpism has been successful as a political and ideological project. (Not, obviously, whether it's been good or not).

Talarico at 51 means it's time to hit the gas now. Force Republicans to start spending big or cut bait. He can demonstrate moral clarity and put Paxton in a vise with a strident cross-partisan anti-war campaign: save our troops, save our money, put Congress back in charge.

That Cornyn and Tillis are only now coming around to thwarting Trump's self-interested steamrolling of Congress suggests Republicans have been just as bad as Democrats at anticipating how expeditiously Trump would drive his administration and his party into a ditch. Senate brain kills.

The cultural right claimed it was about preserving Scandinavian (i.e., white) culture. Horseshit, obviously. To reactionaries, the concept of sharing in something does not exist. Either a "tribe" owns the thing entirely, or its integrity is gone. The same went for suffrage, baseball, and marriage.

And just from a dad’s perspective, it seems to me one of the explicit aims here is to make black girls feel like they are ugly. Like why else are you angry about a black little mermaid. And yes I take that shit personal.

SpaceX doesn't bring in money or turn a profit, but supposedly all the other big businesses that do make money will soon start paying SpaceX to launch satellites and host data infrastructure, and every earthly person, corporeal and corporate, will pay for grok to artificially intelligently do stuff
