The final member of Team Cincinnati is Michelle Lachmann who absolutely crushed it in her performance as one of the rock opera’s three spirit guides, Earth, Wind, and Fire. Did you pick up on that? Anyway, she plays fire cuz that’s what her performance is… 🔥

We’re still hanging with Team Cincinnati and today is a big one! Chris Whiteford has been my ride or die for FOUR DECADES. We don’t talk as much as either of us would like, but it’s always like no time has passed when we do. I love you, Chris!
Are you ready for the Cincinnati Connection?! I’m starting with Bex Boyd who has been a tireless supporter of the rock opera in numerous ways and one of my favorite SOS podcast guests.
Here we are recognizing the contribution of survivor Mila Knight to the rock opera! You should check out her own music.
On this 18th day of Brain Tumor Awareness Month (US), let’s give it up for brain tumor advocate and forensic investigator Michelle Crawford out of the greater Louisville area! One of the coolest people I know.
Trump sued his own government to pay himself $10 billion in taxpayer funds. He even said: "It's awfully strange to make a decision where I'm paying myself." It's not strange. It's corrupt.
Shut the front door! Today’s rock opera shout out is for my long time friend Aisha Banks who has saved my ass many times on many jobs. She’s basically magic.
The final member of the rock opera Portland contingency is questionable as he doesn’t live there anymore. But don’t hold that against him! He’s one of my favorite people… it’s Nick Louie! I’m pretty sure that’s not his last name, but we both have brain cancer and never bother/remember to ask.
The next member of the Portland Contingent of the rock opera were celebrating is John Guffey! He’s got a killer speaking voice and even better guitar tones. His playing is all over this thing!
The next member of the Portland Contingency is my longtime friend Andy Moon! He played guitar in the first band I was ever in but is on drums for the rock opera. He’s currently in about 27 musical projects including the sloth-like Timid Beacon with me. We have an album on BandCamp too.
The next member of the Portland Contingent is here! Jamie McParland! Don’t let the words or screaming fool you, he’s one of the sweetest people I know. I even used his guitar on most of the songs in the rock opera. Visit Episode18.com for more info.
It’s already DAY TWELVE of Brain Tumor Awareness Month (US) and we’re spotlighting Daniel Myers! Not only is he brainfölken, he’s a part of the large Portland contingent that made the rock opera happen! But more on that in the days to come. Visit Episode18.com for more info!
Today and everyday is for Emily Suess who not only speaks in the rock opera, but wrote some of the words. She is just entering hospice as you read this. It doesn’t mean the end is here for her, but it isn’t good and my heart is broken.
Day 10 of brain tumor awareness month (US) is for one of my earliest brainfölken friends, Molly Marco! We ain’t afraid to do things a lil’ different. Visit Episode18.com for more info.
Day 9 of brain tumor awareness month (US) is for Josh Martin. Not only is he featured in the rock opera, he’s got some GREAT MUSIC you can find on BandCamp under Thought Trials. You should check it out and support his efforts. Visit Episode18.com for more info
Just in case you haven’t heard about this rock opera thing that’s raising funds for teen cancer stuff. Oh and it THIRTEEN NATIONS. P
It’s day EIGHT (of brain tumor awareness month US) and I want to celebrate someone GREAT. It’s one of my advocacy mentors Liz Salmi! She’s played the punk rock AND written medical research papers. SHE IS LEGEND and she’s in the rock opera!
A quick one for anyone wondering how this all works. Bottom line: just reach out to me with any questions from links to where to send stuff to you. Sorry for the crappy video… I’m running on fumes here. MRI next Monday and starting a new anxiety drug tonight so that’s fun!
Day 7 of brain tumor awareness month (US) and it’s a voice straight from heaven! It’s my eldest, Eliana Blue Fischmann! Not only did she contribute to the rock opera, she and her sister are big reasons why I’m still alive. Visit Episode18.com to listen and donate.
I know it’s later in the day but May 6 was always Adam’s favorite day of brain tumor awareness month (US). I think? Anyway, our burgeoning friendship was cut short by GBM, but your spirit is all over this rock opera thing.
Have you ever wanted to listen to a podcast about a rock opera and then be moved to donate to a teen cancer charity? Well… you’re in luck! A podcast all about MY TEEN CANCER ROCK OPERA and some of the folks involved is out NOW on the podcast app of your choice. Just look for Discograffiti.
Day 5 and Byron King is still alive… at least in my mind. I think of him and his slow decline nearly every day. But more than that, he was a great friend who was there for me even while he was in his last days. He’s one of the people I miss most. Stupid brain cancer.
Just leaving this here. Discuss amongst yourselves. This is probably the Neil Young song I’ve listened to more than any else (except maybe “Words”?). Feeling it today. It’s sad, but not as sad as it seems at first. There’s hope in there. youtu.be/vDXSs4xQLu8?...

This 4th of May is for Zoe Noble who passed as she was about to submit a contribution to the rock opera. She died at 28 of the exact same weird diagnosis and location as me, but in the UK. She had just gotten engaged and gone back to work. So yeah, I took her passing extra personally.
Today is day THREE OF Brain Tumor Awareness Month (US) so I wanted to give it up for Melissa Blank. Though she’s no longer with us, her words are all over the song “Oh Mockingbird!” along with her voice at the end… and her husband Steve too!
